The late Urban Belgrove began repairing gas appliances in the 1960's and quickly began running his own operation shortly thereafter. His son is a specialist in refrigeration and air conditioning, and his daughter, Carlita Belgrove, founder of Belgrove Appliance, Inc., is a specialist in gas stove repair and antique stove restoration. The Belgrove family has worked hard over the years to create a "one of a kind" service business in the New York Tri-State area.

Belgrove Appliance is the only company in New York that sells new appliances, fully restores antique gas stoves , and offers in house appliance repair on most types and brands of major appliances both old and new. Belgrove Appliance is currently owned and operated by Carlita Belgrove. Better known as "The Stove Lady", Carlita was inspired to carry on her father's legacy and become a repair woman and an entrepreneur in the appliance industry. She has continued to challenge the industry by providing top rate customer service, and plans to one day manufacture her own line of gas stoves.  She is pioneering the antique stove restoration industry by being the first and only in the New York Metro Area to provide a full range of appliance services such as restoration, in home repair, and new appliances.
